Tesla crashes in front of Sudbury Orthodontics
SUDBURY – No one was seriously injured on Thursday after an electric car drove through the front of a Concord Road dentist’s office, police said.
The cause of the 9:15 a.m. crash is still under investigation, said Police Lt. John Perodeau.
The accident happened at 9:15 a.m. at Sudbury Orthodontics, 17 Concord Road. A woman drove her Tesla into the one-story office building, the lieutenant said.
“Fortunately, there was no one near the point of impact,” said Perodeau. “The injuries were minor.
The police, firefighters and the building service intervened on the scene. Much of the building was heavily damaged.
Orthodontie Sudbury is currently closed. No one from the building department could be reached to comment on whether the building suffered structural damage or when it could be reopened.
The accident is under investigation by the Sudbury Police Department. The driver was not cited pending investigation results, Perodeau said.
“I don’t know if there will be any charges,” he said.
