North American Dental Group Awards Scholarships to Support Oral Health Students at Touro College of Dental Medicine |
PITTSBURGH, August 3, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Five dental students, soon to embark on careers as oral health professionals, have been named recipients of an inaugural scholarship program established this year by the North American Dental Group (NADG) .

NADG, a leading dental support organization affiliated with 250 dental offices in 15 states, awarded scholarships in June to fourth-year students at Touro College from dentistry to New York College of Medicine (TCDM). Students were selected by TCDM’s faculty based on their financial needs, academic performance, and for showing values closely aligned with NADG’s empathetic culture and drive for innovation in dentistry.

In addition to financial assistance, the North American Dental Group Scholarship Program will provide each recipient with the opportunity to be matched with a NADG-supported dentist for professional mentorship. Each student will also have the opportunity to collaborate in oral health research programs led by the Professional Dental Alliance led by NADG physicians.

Allman said that NADG’s physician mentoring support will provide valuable real-world experience beyond the classroom.

Rizvi said that NADG’s focus on the patient experience is what attracted her most to dentistry.

Dr Matta said that the NADG plans to award scholarships annually to TCMD students and that there is no limit on how often a student can be selected as a beneficiary.
